Great for Gluten-Free, Vegan, and Vegetarian meals!
Steaming is one of the healthiest ways to cook, as it does not require the use of any fats, only water. Steaming is also very easy. You only need a pot, a steamer like the Sunsella one I used this time, and a small amount of water. The stainless steel Sunsella steamer I used is a smaller version than I have used in the past. I used a lemon in the photo above to give a size reference. It is perfect for steaming 1 portion closed (see below) or 2 portions when opened. You can steam many things including:
– Seafood (i.e. fish, crab, mussels, clams)
– Meat (i.e. chicken, hotdogs, pork)
For this example, I steamed an individual portion of fresh cauliflower. Since it was only one portion, I was able to fit the steamer in a 2 qt sauce pot. For 2 portions…
